Finger strainers are for fuel tank outlets. Standard size features a brass fitting with 3/8" male pipe thread which fits AN867-3 welding flange, and 1/4" female pipe thread for valve or fuel line fitting. Screen is 16 mesh brass.

Large finger strainer has a 3/8"-NPT x 1/2"-M-NPT brass bushing with a T304 stainless steel screen. Uses welding flange AN867-4.

Cured my fuel tank problems on farm tractor. Cut the original plastic fitting off the tank, drilled hole slightly under 3/8, used the strainer to cut new threads in plastic. Cured my fuel flow problems 100%

Q: How long are the standard and large size finger strainers?

The standard finger strainer is approximately 2-11/16" long. The large finger strainer is approximately 3" long.

Q: Does the large strainer (part # 05-04445) have a fitting to accept AN(-8) fittings for 1/2 fuel lines?

The thread size of the strainer is a 3/8" NPT Female and a 1/2" NPT male threads.

Q: What is the o.d. of the screen portion on the standard and the large finger strainer?

Standard Finger Strainer: .48" screen OD Large Finger Strainer: .60" screen OD

Q: Is the Large finger strainer screen 16 mesh as well?

Yes they are both 16 mesh.

Q: What is the screen height and thread grip height for the standard strainer? Also what is the HEX dimension?

The screen is 2". The thread is 3/8 npt and it is .421" long. You would use a 3/4 wrench.

Q: Does this filter have an o-ring between the HEX and the thread?

No it does not.

Q: Is there a flare fitting on the ID for the mating union/male threaded connection?

It is threaded 3/8 npt.
