I have used these on several home-built projects and they have performed flawlessly. I have used these with the bracket for mounting and makes installation a breeze.

I second previous comments and add that P/N 05-00907 brilliantly solves the problem of the lack of a mounting bracket.

I installed this as a replacement on an experimental light sport plane. The quality of the gascolator and screen is great. The only down side I experienced is that there are no provisions for mounting the unit, so it must be supported by the fuel lines.

The gascolator appears to be a quality product. It may be just me but Ive really struggled to line up the holes on the mounting bracket with the gascolator. It seem like the gascolator doesnt condense enough to make it line up. Im now at the point where Ive completely mangled the mounting bracket trying to make it fit.

Unit leaks on the fittings, In the description online it states NPT fittings which I bought, I cannot seem to get it fuel tight, It would be nice if the correct fittings would be linked in the spruce website so these can be ordered together.

While this seems to be a great filter for applications below 10GPH, at flow rates higher than that, such at the Rotax 912iS (with the fuel return), the filter area is too small, and the pressure drop is too high especially with the 74 Micron screen. It takes only a small amount of contamination on the 74 micron screen to create a large pressure drop. Would not recommend this for flow rates higher than 10GPH.

Bracket for Gascolator #10580. When you mount Gascolator in lower position you have to cut out both sides for clearance for fuel lines. Gascolator is wider than mount bracket in the same area. It should be 1/8 inch wider.
