This is a great little set. I thought about spending the extra for the 45w version but the 40w is SO much brighter than the original bulbs its a fantastic value. The positions are bright and clear with great quality. The dialectic is a nice touch to make it complete. The clear glass replacing the red and white were a bit taller than the originals I was replacing. With the new rubber that came with the kit, it made the metal cover not fit all the way down. Im considering sanding down the flat edge a little bit. The flashing mode, which may only be used in daytime due to the need for constant position lights and night, is very nice. They arent in sync, but thats OK. The biggest benefits to me are the low power usage and reliability replacing the bulbs.

Overall, a very good product works well. Instructions are very brief and assume you know to push-in before turning the old bulbs to remove (or youll damage them). The strobe took multiple resets to flash all 3 lights first one would flash, then 2, and eventually all three. It would be helpful to have a sample logbook writeup to use.

Works excellent. Bulbs are quality and provide an nice range and effect. Not a true strobe, but sure is close. Work well in constant on mode too. I added the Whelen LED beacon, and you can barely even look at that. Now with a polished aluminum C-170A , I will have some visibility up there.

These lights are great. The simple feature to switch them off and on quickly to put them into flashing mode is wonderful. They are also really bright and draw considerably less current. Due to their long life I run with them during the day in flashing mode for an additional level of safety.

Fantastic. Very vivid in daytime strobe mode, and more bright in constant mode than old non LED bulb position lights. Easy installation. Strobe mode caused absolutely no noise issues with my intercom or Bendix King GPS/COM panel mount radio.

Purchased these lights about a year and a half ago. They work extremely well increasing my visibility in the busy airspace I typically fly in. However about a month ago I noticed that two of the led arrays on the red bulb were not working. The green and white bulbs continue to function properly. Contacted Aircraft Spruce and they did a replacement on all three since the bulbs are warranted for two years.

Beautiful lights, I wish they could stay on the airplane...but on my Stinson 108-3 they create static in my radios. The brightness is amazing, they get 5 STARS for that...doing research on how to mitigate the static. This apparently is a common complaint with LED in old aircraft

This is the first poor rating I have given anything. They are very bright but cause static in my radios. Also when I turn them on after parking for a bit they will come on in different modes. One wing will be strobing and the other steady. When I try again they are opposite. I am replacing them today with single function LEDs and I am hoping my static will go away. They are in a 1981 Tomahawk with a KX170b radio. I am going to try a new MX170 if the static doesnt go away.
