WHELEN LED PARMETHEUS PLUS PAR36 28V LAND P36P2L
A dramatic improvement over incandescent bulbs, and a simple, one screw installation. There are two points to watch for: 1) The terminals are not marked + or -, so when you connect your light, there is a 50-50 chance you got it backwards. Check to make sure it works before you reinstall it. If it doesnt, just switch the connections. 2) Note that the identical lens comes in both 14V and 24V. If you get the wrong one, it wont work...dont ask me how I know! The exchange policy works well, and is easy to accomplish.
Great light easy Install
I ordered this for a customer/friend w a Cirrus. When he got in to change out his “dead” incandescent bulb he discovered a loose wire was the culprit. He asked about returning the bulb. I suggested he install it and if he didn’t like it I’d buy it back. He’s SOLD! Won’t even CONSIDER going back. Awsome, one time installation that makes a HUGE difference in your night flying AND... you can leave it on (low amp, 15,000+ life and visible in the day) for safety.
I installed one of these in the nose of our A36 two years ago and love it! I leave it turned on any time the Avionics Master is on for increased safety. Low current draw and the same night illumination as the OEM indadescent bulb. Watch for correct polarity and this is easily owner installed.
I just purchased 2 of these for my Baron. they seem to work well and draw a fraction of the load that my old lights used. I am looking forward to hopefully never have to change again. In addition, due to their long life I plan to leave them on at all times while flying for increased safety / visibility.
Arrived quickly and was easy to install. Just remember to match polarity and it will work as advertised.
I do not have to replace my lights as often, which saves me money.
Whelen LED Parmetheus Plus landing light arrived fast and in good condition. After checking polarity and marking the negative lead on my aircraft installation was straight forward. Operation checked satisfactory and its brighter than the standard Whelen LED light I have in my taxi light position. I am looking forward to not needing to change my landing light for many hours.
Installed on a PC-12. These are not as bright as the original 250W incandescent lamps were which is why one-star is deducted. I am hopeful that the longevity will offset this. It is greatly appreciated that Whelen has the STC, AML and Permission to Use letter all on their web site at no additional cost. These lamps need to be installed in accordance with the STC.

Yes, this Par 36 lamp is the correct size.
As long as the installed light on the 601P is a PAR36 lamp, this will be a plug and play replacement.
These are priced and sold individually.
The Beechcraft Baron uses a PAR 36 style light, and since this is a PAR 36 light, this should fit. Please confirm your aircraft voltage to be sure you order the correct version, 14v or 28v.
Most of the time these are drop in replacements, meaning no circuit breaker change required, however, if in doubt, please discuss with your A&P to ensure your install is correct for your aircraft.
The Cessna 182 uses a PAR 36 size bulb. This bulb is 28v, so please verify your aircraft voltage to ensure you order the correct one.
These assemblies are rated in candlepower and this would be 56,000 Candlepower.
Yes, 28v and 24v are interchangeable. 28v can be used on 24v aircraft.
The output on the 12VDC assembly and 28VDC assembly will be the same. The total output will be 56,000 Candlepower. In regards to the AMP draw on the 28VDC system the current draw is 0.6 AMPS and on the 12 VDC assembly it will be 1.2 AMPS.
