I wish they would give a thread outside diameter, I had to learn that the hard way. For example: a 1/8 NPT has a 3/8 outside thread diameter, 1/4 NPT has a 1/2 outside diameter, and a 3/8 NPT has a 5/8 outside diameter, and I assume 1/2 NPT has a 3/4 outside diameter.

As long as the needle is 1-1/4", it will push the valve open to release some fuel.
