Grounding problem: ordered express -- saved the day!
The part was returned because it was not the correct pert. No fault of Aircraft Spruce. I could not tell by the picture that it was not the correct part.
Very good item to replace the original one piece valve assembly. Strut stopped leaking.
This product is designed better than some Schrader valves and so far has proven to fix a slow leak down in the oleo strut.
Needed badly after forgetting my replacements when traveling. Bought from Aircraft Spruce, overnight delivery. Arrived by 12:00pm the next day and got me back on the job. Perfect fit, great units. Learned that you MUST order the correct units, either with thick nut or thin nut. It makes a difference. Some landing gear will not accept the thick nut Schrader, and visa versa. So check carefully. Use gasket AN6227B-4 for this strut valve. (See Accessories)
The manufacturer is AVALCO. The dimensions are 1.784" in length with a 3/4 wrench size. This will be the widest part of the unit. It will have a 1/2-20 thread size.
Per the supplier: No this is not a replacement for that part.
The manufacturer does not recommend replacing the o-ring, you would need to replace the whole unit.
