Very happy with the lens. Adding the clear lens over new wingtip position LEDs = amazing. The lens does not work on the taillight which requires a lip on the lens for our 69-182

Great little piece for switching to LEDs to get a little extra brightness. I dropped one while installing it and it just bounced as opposed to shattering like the old ones.

Fit my 1978 Cessna 182 perfect. I bought led light bulbs that were colored and changed my lenses to these clear ones. Worked well.

Excellent fit & quality. Highly recommend when changing to the colored LED position lights. They are much brighter through a clear lens than through the colored lenses.

Perfect replacement for the old glass Cessna nav-light covers. We upgraded to LEDs and went with the clear covers. Perfect fit!

Perfect fit in my old Whelen wingtip nav lights. Package arrived on time. Just installed so I don’t know about how they hold up.

Fits perfectly, looks good, gives excellent light throughput for the Whelen Chroma LEDs - Nice and lightweight also. Only just installed them, so will see how they last.

In response to the other review -- you could use this if your navigation lamp bulb was already colored red or green (as with PSA LED navigation light bulb replacements).

These are clear and light, ideal for use with LED bulbs.
The only reason I have not given them 5 stars is that I suspect that the plastic lens will not be as durable as the glass lenses they replace.

Great for replacing Grimes system red and green lenses, but not the clear lense for the white light on the tail.

I should have read the reviews. It does not fit the tail light for the whelen strobe/nav light. Then I had to order the glass cover for $51 plus shipping, compounding my mistake.

Pros - Clear, poly carbonate wont break if you over-tighten it. Relatively cheap
Cons - After being parked outside for 2 years the lenses started clouding up from sun deterioration.

The item overview states: Direct replacement for your standard red, green and clear glass navigation lens.
This will work in a Grimes wingtip nav light (but its clear so why would you need it in a wingtip nav light) but not in a tail nav light. It is slightly too large.

Will not fit for the tail light. It is slightly too big.

This lens is listed as being a replacement for the glass lens in the Grimes tail light assembly. This lens doesnt work as advertised. It is improperly made, as it will not fit in the retaining ring of the tail light assembly. The lens is too big and has no retaining ring lip molded into the bottom as it should have. It cost me lost shop time and return postage expenses to discover this was a poorly designed product.
