Developed by an A&P and manufactured since 1993, Scratch Off has become the leading acrylic sheet and Lexan restoration system worldwide and is guaranteed, when used as directed, to permanently improve the clarity of aircraft windows and windshields. Scratch-Off is being used worldwide and highly recommended by airframers, aircraft window/windshield manufactures and enthusiasts to restore optical clarity back to aircraft windshields and windows. The 8 panel instruction booklet walks you through a step by step process on how to determine where to start the process as all four steps are not always needed. There is enough material in the kits to easily restore most 4 and 6 place aircraft. Contents:

DELUXE SCRATCH-OFF KIT
When I received the product I used 1500 & 3000 grit wet dry sandpaper first as the scratch was deep enough to catch my fingernail. Then I just followed the instructions that came with the product and the lexan shined up clear and good as new. I would recommend this product to anyone and will definitely use it again. Chris
DELUXE SCRATCH-OFF KIT
My windshield on my Varga was really bad with scratches and overspray. Sanded it down with 1000 grit and heavily hazed the entire window. I was concerned but after the use of the kit per the instructions it came out incredible. No need for new glass. I recommend this product highly.
Simple to use, did a unbelievable job on my RV8 canopy
Just like the previous review, its a little unnerving to take sandpaper to your windshield. However, I had a scratch that I could catch my fingernail in. Followed their directions, sanded perpendicular till smooth. Then star using the compounds and polishes and youll be an expert. Nice to have all the tools, compounds and polishes in one kit.
Superb product that really delivers the goods. Takes a lot of guts to use at first and then you suddenly become a pro at the second window. The final result is simply like new. Medium scratches gone. I was very surprised. Highly recommended. Instructions are clear and to the point. 10 out of 10.

This kit will have the manufacturers application instructions. Review the application instructions before use, but they do mention to wet the abrasive paper, but did not mention wetting the application pad.
It could. It will remove light scratches and polish out surface haze. It would depend on how bad the hazing is on the window. If the haze is from crazing then it cannot be polished out.
It could be used for that. We would not be able to guarantee that it would work though since the severity can vary.
If the windshield feels rough to the touch it would likely be a surface issue. If it is still smooth it is likely crazing.
A standard 3/8" or 1/2" drill will do the trick.
