RV-A Series Aircraft Tow bar. Two piece spring loaded design. Eligibility of Vans Aircraft: RV-6A, 7A, 8A, 9A |
Towbar worked well on my RV7A. Light weight but adequate strength for purpose. Opened up front wheel pant holes to 1 inch dia. Well worth the price.
This tow bar DOES work for a RV6A. Seems well made, does what it is supposed to.
Works perfect on my F1 Rocket tail wheel with the towbar axle.
Does what its supposed to, dirt simple
Looks and fits fine on my RV6A with my updated nose fork.
Spring needs to be stronger so the it doesn’t come off when pushing.
This RV-A series (the Wagareo towbar) towbar was a bit disappointing, the opposing receivers for the front wheel lugs were not in alignment in the up-to-down orientation. I do understand that the opening distance has to be adjusted by bending the two tow bar arms to get it to fit to an opening that will get around the front wheel pant and I did that, it is very difficult to get those bent so that they align well to each other Center-to-Center. It is not possible to align the two in the up and down orientation, maybe if it was taken apart and put in some sort of tight jig, heated it and tried to twist it - not going to try that.
