Reviews

This is my second concord battery. The last one lasted 9 years, using a battery tender. If I had not left my master on all day I think it would have lasted longer. I changed it to keep from being stranded in future as this type of complete draining is hard on the battery so I preemptively got a new one. But after charging the old one, it has been holding a charge, so it is in my hanger as a back up. The service from Aircraft Spruce has been excellent in getting me the new one out.

Do NOT use this battery as a replacement for a Gill 242 on Cessna with a plastic battery box. Use the RG24-16 The cross ref chart is wrong on this one. Otherwise, Concorde makes a great battery.

Q: What is the difference between the RG24-11M & the RG24-11? I want to replace the M in my Stearman.

The difference between this battery and RG24-11M is that the M model features a manifold to facilitate direct replacement of the originally designed manifold vented battery. Please use our part # 11-03877 for the M model.

Q: What charger is used for this Concord RG24-11 battery, or can any 24v aviation charger be used?

The recommended charger is part # 11-00891.
