This Concorde Battery is TSO Approved under FAA TSO-C173a. TSO Approved authorizes Concorde Battery to produce a part to a Technical Standard Order. TSO Approved is both design and production approval of the battery.

Finally had to replace my 6 year old Concorde RG24-15M in my Archer. It was still turning the engine over just fine and it never failed to get me started but, it did fail its capacity test during the last annual. At low rpm I would get a low bus voltage indication. So, I still used it for a few more months and then replaced it. The new one is really cranking the engine and I no longer get a low bus voltage indication at low engine rpm. I hope I get at least another 6 years out of this new battery.

No, this battery is not considered dangerous goods.

Q: I have a Cirrus SR22 with a Gill 243 battery, will this Concorde RG24-15M battery slide right in the rack with the mounting holes matching, no alterations required?

Yes, the RG24-15M will fit perfectly or this application.

Yes this tester can be used to test his battery.

Q: Does this Battery require a STC and 337 for the T-182T or is it a direct replacement?

There is an stc for this aircraft and battery available on Concorde's website.

Q: Can I put this RG24-15M battery in front of the firewall? Will the capacity and safety of the battery be adversely affected by the ambient temperature?

Heat is an issue. When they mount batteries on the fire wall the batteries are exposed to heat from the engine which results in shorter than desired life. If they install the battery in a battery box that has cooling then they should be fine.

Q: Am I required to file a 337 with the FAA when I install the RG24-15M in my 1997 C182S (non G1000--steam guages)?

That looks like it is covered by STC#SA01118WI. It can be downloaded from Concorde directly.
