I havent had a chance to try this in the plane yet with the frigid weather, but tests at home suggests that it holds my 7-inch Android tablet firmly (even in its ruggedised rubber case). I understand that the $$$ MGF mounts are better, but this one does the job for a tiny fraction of the price, and thats good enough for me.

Perfect! Have iPad suction mounted on co-pilot side in Cessna 172. Turbulence no problem. Includes a rubber grip to stretch around for rough environments but I have not needed this so far.
Need a holder for an iPad mini 2 with a life proof case on it so I ordered this one and was not disappointed. It works awesome with the case and holds it very firmly. If you have a case on your tablet to protect it this is the mount for you.
I ordered the RAM holder for a Samsung 7 inch tablet, along with the 5 1/4 inch arm and single suction mount. It arrived a few days ago and I had the opportunity to test out the unit during a 1 hour GA flight (C172). Installation was extremely simple, and took less than 30 seconds to find a suitable mounting point. Once locked in place it was completely stable during flight. Removal, post flight, took a couple of seconds. Absolutely great product!!

Yes, this will fit the iPad Mini 4. In order to attach it to the yoke, you would need an arm (short # 11-03458, medium # 11-01255, or long # 11-03458) and the yoke clip, part # 11-12930.
