This pitot-static sump bottle collects moisture in the aircraft’s static system which prevents water damage to panel mounted instruments. Used in many Cessna aircraft. Measures 1.625” dia. x 4.75” long. Thread size: 7/16-20 for a nylon fitting & 1/8" NPT to the static port. |

This cheap plastic some made for assassin aircraft is literally a piece of shit just look to see how many you folks Sala year and it tells you that they break all the time you would think at some point somebody would smarten up and make one better or some thing out of a different material

Replacement part. Not heavy duty, but adequate for use intended.

These things are fragile as hell, this is the second one on the same side, I thought it was because how old they were that they got brittle but not now. I wish they were made of softer less brittle plastic but Im sure they have to met FAA spec so nobody will try to make a new one. They work, water doesnt get into the static system.
Parts were correct, only complaint is they took longer than expected to ship.
One out of two sump bottles (50%!) failed in the pitot static test. Luckily one of the pre-existing bottles still worked.

Per Cessna, one end is 1/8" NPT and the other end is .438-20UNF-3A.
It is approved for use on certified aircraft. An 8130 is included.
