This cover is constructed of a light-weight stiffener panel, 1/2" foam padding and headliner fabric. A flap extends into the back side of the wing root frame and glues in place for a professional finish. |
The first set I receive had glue on the finished side and I sent them back and they were replaced with in about 2 weeks. They had to make another set as there were none in stock. The replacement see I received had pencil marks on the finished side. They mark the various pieces with pencil when they are cutting the fabric out and did not seem to pay much attention to whether or not the marks are on the finished side or not. Also on the area where the notch is located the fabric was cut short so the stitching did not catch the fabric in the notch area and I had to use asmall amount of glue to hold the fabric in the notch. I am very disipointed with the quality control of these wing root covers. I would have thought that someone would have inspected them before they were shipped, especially after the first set I receive were so sloppily made. This is first time I have ever been disipointed with anything I have purchased from Aircraft Spruce. I am very disipointed with the quality of these wing root covers.
This Product is absolute rubbish. The workmanship is extremely shoddy and the pocket that is supposed to be sewn on the back side was sewn on the front side - rendering the items useless!
