ODYSSEY Powersport Battery Model PC680
(internal threaded brass terminals, M6 SS bolts, and L bracket adapter)

Powersport vehicles need a powerful battery that’s built to take the constant pounding that comes with the territory, whether it's is on land, sea, or snow.

Featuring rugged construction and packed tightly with pure lead plates, the non-spillable AGM design ODYSSEY battery protects against the shock and vibration that can quickly destroy other batteries. And the pure lead plates mean more power—twice the overall power and three times the life of conventional batteries—up to 400 cycles at 80% depth of discharge!

I am very happy with this Odyssey PC680. I used it in my Carbon Cub EX. Lasted 3 years. Not bad for a little battery in a high compression 180HP engine.

Odyssey PC680 the last one lasted 3 years still started the aircraft, but wanted to be sure I would gets starts on long cross countries. Great battery for the price and I feel to very dependable. Aircraft Spruce is amazing in stock and they even brought it over to the airport for me, amazing service.

My current PC680 was still working well in my RV9A after 8 years but I changed it out in my July Conditional Inspection as a preventive maintenance step. Plan to use the old one in my lawn tractor.

I recently purchased a plane and the owner suggested I replace the battery since it was the original - meaning a battery made in 2006! The battery showed no signs of needing replacement but not something Im willing to risk for $130. Based on the excellent life of the previous battery, buying another Odyssey was an easy choice.

The terminals are a metric M6 bolt size.

Q: Having trouble interpreting the dimensions of the PC 680 and the SBS J16 batteries. Are they the same (to within 1/16 inch)?

Per the supplier: The cases are the same size.

Q: Does this battery come with L shaped brackets?

This unit does not come with any installation brackets.

Q: What is the CCA rating for this Odyssey PC680 dry cell battery?

The CCA rating for this battery is 170 Cold Cranking Amps (CCA).

Q: Can this battery pc680 be installed in a C172? If so is there a stc for it use?

No, the Odyssey dry cell battery (11-02233) is not approved for use in certified aircraft.

Q: Does this type of dry cell battery require a drain or some type of ventilation on the battery hold down box?

No, this is an AGM battery and no emissions are omitted.

Q: Does the Odyssey PC680 need to be mounted upright?

This can be mounted anyway except for upside down.

Q: Can two of these Odyssey PC680 batteries be strapped together for 24V operation? Is there any holder for this configuration?

They can be strapped together for 24volts but there is no holder for them.

Q: Are any Odyssey batteries FAA/PMA approved?

Part # 11-01945 is a Powersafe battery that is FAA Approved.

Q: Does charging this battery require a certain type of charger (constant amp vs. variable or graduated amp)?

No, you do not need a special charger for this battery.
