The MX-11 Comm is designed as a slide in replacement for the Narco Com 11, Com 11B, Com 111, Com 111B, and Com 120. The unit will replace the com 10 and Com 110 when the Nav 10 and Nav 110 are not used in the system. The MX-11 is warranted for 2 years. The MX-11 is the same unit as the earlier MX \-11 except it does not come with the tray. |

TKM MX 11R COM REPLACEMENT
I got my first MX-11 about 25 years ago, got it new and it served me very well for a long time. When it began giving problems, I bought a used one from EBay. Had both of these service by TKM, but neither one really worked right after that. The one from eBay is in use now, but doesnt transmit clearly on some frequencies. With I had a new one, but they cost twice as much as before.
If the serial number is not High. Factory repair is no good. Local repair is as good as the hand written data given by TKM
I replaced the old one that had failed, only because I could not get TKM Radio Manufacture to respond to my/their required online repair request form, and I was not ready to upgrade my radios until annual. So, I just pressed the easy button. I gave it 1 star because it did at least work, and Aircraft Spruce had it in stock and had me back flying again fast ( they are great)! I dont however like supporting radio manufactures who do not seem interested in supporting their products and did not respond to their own poorly devised customer online service request.

TKM MX 11R COM REPLACEMENT
Unit was out of box failure. This the third Michel radio with performance problems. (The first two were NOT purchased thru Aircraft Spruce.) Amanda is the best. She got a call ticket created within minutes of learning of the problem. Aircraft Spruce is my number one supplier for this reason.
I have had three MX11s and they have all failed with the last one smoking before it quit. The second and third radios I was given a discount for a trade ins. Not sure what caused the problems but I am done. Cost minimum of $380 to repair and if you dont want to pay anymore it will cost you $150 for their effort.

8130-3 forms are for exporting certified units out side of the country. If you are installing this within the USA a 8130-3 is not needed.

The TKM MX-11 is simply a slide in replacement radio and does not come with other hardware.
No racks are available for the TKM line. They are slide-in replacements only, not for new install. There are also no connectors included or available.
Per the manual, this is not capable of using 8.33 KHz
