Excellent! Getting 5606 in plastic-screw cap allows you to use just what you need without having to worry about wasting. Easier to pour. I needed some hyd oil for a hand pressure test pump for testing brakes on bench. Used half the bottle, closed with cap, and stored on shelf ready to use again. No waste or open container.

What I needed.

This quart bottle arrived in perfect condition and undamaged. Some confusion about 5606/5606a fluid compatibility led to some research which convinced me that 5606a is simply a repackaging from a larger 5606 container. At the very least it supercedes 5606 and is compatible with all appropriate applications.

Though it is not publicized, Seastar steering fluid is just MIL-H-5606 fluid. I found out through a US Coast Guard asset manual. Seastar branded MIL-H-5606 sells for many times the price in aviation which is hard to believe!
