The best slide-rule-style flight computer on the market, with solid aluminum construction and easy-to-read lettering. ASA's E6-B features a wind component grid and comprehensive crosswind correction chart, and on the other side the slide computes time, speed, distance, altitude, true airspeed, and density altitude problems as well as conversions. Nautical and statute scales are included. |
The E6B is everything That i expected. A good value and delivery was prompt.
ASA E6B FLIGHT COMPUTER
Well, it is an E6B. Works as advertised. I like the metal materials, makes it easy to manipulate. Only need it for training purposes and written exams but is fun to go old school on occasion.

Much better construction than the one it replaced. The order was easy to place and was shipped very quickly.
Good quality product- as advertised- , faster than expected shipment.
So far it’s done the job. Extremely sturdy piece of equipment.
This is laid out in a far more intuitive way than some of the other E6Bs. For example, its impossible to use the wrong slide window to calculate Density Altitude as it places it directly over top of the slide you need to use. It lists a lot of information on it AND has a lot of its directions written on it including the wind correction angles on the back. This provides a significant legal cheat sheet for exams as well as in the air if you decide to stay old school once you get your license. I have a feeling you will be like most of us and toss this metal paperweight into storage once you get your license and upgrade to a proper GPS navigation system as well as an E6B app for your phone and tablet. .... Either way, for studying and exam purposes, I would rather have this variant than any other.
Sturdy piece of equipment and very easy to use. Made in a way that I feel Ill own it for a long time.
Its pretty good. The metal is a definite improvement over the cardboard one. One of the edges around the circle has lifted and its a bit difficult to rotate with one hand
