The Door Steward is an STC and FAA-PMA approved modification for aircraft doors. This installation kit contains all the components for either one B40C10-1 installation applicable to Beech and Piper Main entry cabin doors listed below. It is also applicable to Beech small baggage doors (20” wide) and the oversize baggage doors (38.5” wide) on Beech models listed below. Or one B40C10-2 installation applicable to the rear passenger door on the PA32 or PA34 aircraft. Neither installation fits the split rear doors on the Beechcraft A36, B36TC, G36, B58. |
Nice product, works well. You must close the door with your hand closer to the bottom latch when closing from outside. It will hold the door full open, even against prop wash. Great for summer.
DOOR STEWARD B40C10
Easy to install
DOOR STEWARD B40C10
Great product. From the complete kit with more than you need for your install to a perfect explained and pictured instructions. Often times you have to read the engineers mind to decipher the IKEA like instructions provided with a product. Not on this one! Our customers loved it.
Works great on my 1972 Piper Cherokee 180. Easy to install (though I messed up on some riveting and needed an education on how to remove a CherryMax rivet - those things are NOT falling out!). Not counting my installation mistake, it took about 2 hours to install working slowly. It holds up to prop wash taxi’ing on a hot day and is no problem to close.
Works great!! Simple instructions! Easy install!
I purchased the door steward after a taxing plane ripped the factory catch off the door. We just installed it, and im already in love. The door is so smooth, and taxing planes shouldnt be a problem any longer!
5 stars so far. Tired of dealing with the aging support rod on my Beechcraft and worried about gust of wind damage with original one on the plane.
This door steward is great for your Beechcraft in at least 2 ways. It will reduce The possibility of a broken lower door hinge since it will help to slow the door opening by a strong wind. And, it is much more convenient to use
What a great solution to a problematic door hold open rod. I have just installed a new unit on a Beech Debonair and it was very straight forward. I have also installed the units on a Cessna 175-no problem.
This is very likely the best Bonanza mod ever offered. The Bonanza cabin door/ rod combination has always been a weak engineering point. The Door Steward fixes that problem completely. Id give it 10 stars if that rating was available. Install is a simple 2 hour job for the experienced. Would make this mod a first fix to any Bonanza I purchase. Beech should make the Door Steward standard equipment.
