Overview

Extra heavy-duty fabric recommended for the most severe operating conditions and very high-wing loading aircraft. Its large filament size and high strength provide excellent resistance to rock penetration and tearing, characteristics required for trouble-free bush and agricultural operations. It is suitable for all aircraft where a very tough, durable, low elongation, high-tension fabric is required.

Recommended Aircraft: Aerobatic and bush planes, ag aircraft, and warbirds.

Q: What is the length of a standard roll of Ceconite 101?

Approx 100yd rolls, +/- 5 yds. Ceconite 101 is priced and sold by the yard.

Q: I am looking to use Ceconite on something other than aircraft, I want it for a Hovercraft I want to build and I don't want to use fiberglass cloth, I am looking to resin over the ceconite a few times on top of my ribs instead of going foam and fiberglass, will the ceconite take well to being covered with resin and hardeners?

This is recommended to use with Randolph products with the ceconite fabrics. Take a look at P/N#'s 210-Q Nitrate Dope and 09-00700 Butyrate Non-Tautening Dope.

Q: I use ceconite to stretch over stretcher bars for paintings...does this ceconite tighten with the application of a warm iron?

It takes an iron hotter than 200 F to shrink. Yes, it can and has been used for paintings. The fabric will shrink 5% at 250 F and about 11% at 350 F. Shrinkage will be in a 'straight line' based upon temperature not dwell time. 406 F will melt the fabric.

Q: What is the material thickness for Ceconite 101?

.008"

Q: How wide is the fabric?

Sold by the yard. 72 Width
