Fits as advertised. I doubt any dirt can get through, its so frikin sticky. Definately have hand cleaner available. If you use gloves make sure they’re disposable. You might be able to use the package somehow, but dont drop it! Youd never get it clean.

Honestly this is one of the cheapest things you can buy for your airplane. They are very sticky and do a great job catching dirt and debris from my backcountry exploits. I change them out well ahead of schedule, basically as soon as they start to show a little dirt.

Been using this filter element for 18 years. Silicon in oil analysis has always been within the normal range even though I fly the 185 off gravel in a dusty environment. As recommended, the element is changed at every annual and Aircraft Spruce has a good price.
