A very nicely tooled mandrel. Worked great on installation of four fittings. Finish still looks new. Great price for what seems like great quality.
Nice tool, does what you expect. Only thing I would prefer to see is to have the head be a hex fitting so you can put a socket on it. Getting the fitting started in brand new hose takes some effort and using a speed wrench with a socket would make it easier to apply the initial force to get the fitting to bite into the hose.

Yes, these mandrels can be used to install Aeroquip 491 fittings.
The mandrel is selected by the hose dash number it will be used on. You can view the hose dimensions for each dash number on that hose web page. We show the I.D. and O.D. for each size Stratoflex 111 hose.
