Garmin has built another popular GPS and we have a Panel Dock for it. When you snap your aera 660 GPS into the Panel Dock, you will immediately appreciate the glove-like fit. The Panel Dock conforms to every curve of the new aera 660. The Panel Dock also matches the look and feel of the rest of your avionics stack, giving you a pleasant, professional looking panel. The new Aera 660 Panel Dock maximizes your use of the aera 660 by placing it right in your panel. Your GPS is held securely in place, and as a result, the touchscreen controls feel comfortable and stable. Once in flight, you will appreciate the safety of having your portable GPS out of the way of your controls. The GPS won't be blocking your other instruments. Your GPS finally has a home in your cockpit. Touch screen controls are easier to navigate when the device is held securely in the panel, and you will enjoy the professional and clean installation. Although the Panel Dock holds the aera 660 securely, you will appreciate the ability to quickly remove the GPS from the aircraft. You are free to use the GPS in another vehicle. You will also enjoy flight planning outside of the aircraft. Cable management is always a concern with portable devices. Garmin has reduced the number of connectors on this device by using a docking connector. This docking connector nests into the back of the Panel Dock. We have integrated Garmin's docking connector into the design. Just click the Aera 660 into place and you are ready to go. Garmin uses the power button to allow you to adjust lighting levels as well as other features of the GPS, so we have molded in an actuator for the power button. This allows easy access of the power button with the GPS held securely in the panel. The aera 660 Panel Dock fits a standard radio stack. If you are upgrading from an older Garmin GPS, you will be happy to know that we have designed the aera 660 Panel Dock to fit the same opening as the 196,296,396,496 Panel Dock, and uses the same hole layout for mounting. As with all of the Panel Dock™ products, the aera 660 Panel Dock is manufactured with high quality PC/ABS for long life. |

AIRGIZMOS GARMIN AERA 660 PANEL DOCK
AIRGIZMOS GARMIN AERA 660 PANEL DOCK
Replaced a Garmin 396 with the Aera 660. The Air Gizmo dock was a direct replacement for the 396 Air Gizmo. Very easy installation. Well worth the cost for the traffic and weather being on the panel.
great service
On time in good shape
I wish this item was configured to allow the 660 to be powered via a usb cord instead of just the cigarette lighter power cord.
1) Delivery of this item to Hawaii by USPS Priority Mail took 12 days instead of the usual 2-3 days undoubtedly due to Covid-19 transportation problems. 2) I purchased this item to replace an Airgizmos Panel Dock that had previously been used to mount my Aera 500. The outside dimensions of the Aera 660 Panel Dock are as advertised and are identical to those of the Aera 500 Panel Dock. However a small amount of trimming along the top left side of the instrument panel is needed to allow the Airgizmos Aera 660 Panel Dock to be slide in place. More importantly, unlike the panel dock for the Aera 500, Garmins electrical connector must be attached to the panel dock in order to hold the Garmin 660 in place. This is true even if no electrical connection is to be made to the aircrafts electrical system and the Garmin 660 is operated on battery power alone. To prevent possible shorting the pin board on the electrical connector needs to be removed.
Fits great, expensive
Replacing yet another cheap plastic air gizmo. They last a few yeas and then fall to pieces. If it ever has to be removed from the panel it will break. Looks good while it holds together though.

The panel cutout dimension is the same, but the profile of the device is different. So you can remove the old 496 AirGizmos panel dock, and install the Aera 660 panel dock in it's place but the Garmin 660 will not fit into the 496 panel dock.
The dock has space for the cradle so that it can be powered.
The bare wire cable can be screwed into place on the Airgizmo panel dock.
Yes. The Aera 660 panel dock does require a 337.
No, this product is not FAA STC approved.
The factory Garmin cradle (part # 10-06028 for example) mounts into the airgizmo holding the 660 and providing power.
No, you will need to purchase the Airgizmo mount for the 660. However, it will fit in the same hole layout for mounting.
The dock itself does not have an antenna connector. It does have an opening in the back for a remote antenna to connect to your unit. The ga25 or the ga27c are aera 660 compatible antennas.
